Epsom’s MP says he doesn’t expect the new hospital planned for Sutton to be open until the second half of the decade.

Chris Grayling has been responding to residents about the time frame for the site proposed at Belmont. 

He says the pandemic has delayed proceedings but understands that a planning application is due in the coming months. 

Under the proposals, six major services, including A&E, would relocate out of Epsom and St Helier hospitals to the new site.
