Fraudsters are making phone calls to people in Hounslow claiming to be from the council tax rebate team.

They are dialling homeowners and asking them for their bank details if they want to claim the payment. 

The Government recently announced that some households will be eligible for a rebate of £150 on their council tax. 

Hounslow Council says it will never phone and ask for bank details, and more details about the scheme will be released shortly.
