Surrey Fire and Rescue are issuing a warning about Lithium-Ion batteries, saying they’re seeing an increase in incidents about them.

They’re used a lot in bikes, smartphones and power tools.

The brigade says it’s easy to purchase counterfeit goods online, which are often poor quality and unsafe.

We’re also being told to not charge them overnight, and not in a place that blocks in an escape route.
