Shadow’s owners couldn’t afford the expensive vet bills, so they signed her over to the charity.
She’ll remain in the care of the RSPCA hospital until she’s fit and healthy, when she’ll move to a rehoming centre.
The charity says to “consider the potential vet costs” before taking on an animal.
