Work began on a new £1 million sewer pipe in Kingston this morning.

Thames Water says its installation will help protect homes, businesses and the environment from flooding. 

A 45 metre-long section of the current nine-inch diameter sewer in Eden Street is being replaced.

Work should finish in early July.
