Runnymede council could secure thousands of pounds worth of funding to improve the tennis courts in the borough.

A partnership between the council and the Lawn Tennis Association would see £168,000 available for the refurbishments. 

Following final approval by councillors, Runnymede has agreed to enhance the courts and access to the sport in the Borough.

Cllr Chris Howorth said he hopes this will “encourage local people to get outside and commit to getting fit.”
