The new commissioner
of the Metropolitan Police takes up his role today - after Dame Cressida Dick
left her post in February.

intense scrutiny following the murder of Sarah Everard from Clapham by a
serving officer.

Fourteen campaign
groups have written a letter to the new Metropolitan Police commissioner,
demanding an end to the use of facial recognition technology.
Organisations like
Big Brother Watch and Black Lives Matter UK say the software is
"inaccurate" and leads to mis-identifications.
They also claim it's
being used in areas with a higher number of people from ethnic minority
backgrounds.
