The chancellor's set out his mini budget - telling the Commons 'people need to know that help is coming'

Spelthorne MP Kwasi Kwarteng says he wants to boost growth through tax incentives and reform.

He's reversed a planned rise in corporation tax - on top of the already-announced U-turn on national insurance increases.

And he's announced measures including lifting the cap on bankers' bonuses and a review of planning laws - saying they restrict investment.

Mr Kwarteng's also estimated the cost of freezing energy bills at 60 billion pounds for the first six months.

He’s also abolishing the additional income tax band of 45%.
