A bin strike in Richmond has ended after just one day, after workers were offered a renewed pay deal.

Serco has now offered HGV drivers a 15% pay rise.

Kerbside collections recommenced immediately this morning.

Paul Grafton, from the union, says they were after a pay rise “which reflects the current economic climate”.
