33 year old Philip Kramer from Slough was caught driving at 50mph on a 30 zone.
He covered his number plate at the time of the offence, but the Vanguard road safety team tracked him down.
He would have been given 3 points and a £100 fine but due to him trying to hide his number plate he was given 6 points and a £800 fine.
