Around 500 emergency call handlers are joining a strike with colleagues at BT for the first time, in a row over pay

The dispute includes around 30,000 Openreach engineers and 10,000 BT call centre workers who've taken action in previous months.

The members of the Wimbledon-based Communication Workers Union are walking out today and on three other days this month.
