Black History Month has begun with a full programme of events across South-West London and North Surrey

 This year’s theme is TiMe For Change – Actions Not Words.

 Among the highlights acclaimed graphic novelist Tobias Tait will lead a distinguished line-up in a panel discussion on October 12th at Hounslow House.

 Wandsworth Council will be premiering a series of celebration and spotlight videos online.

 And Kingston University is organising a month of screenings and debates on subjects including the Black Lives Matter movement.

 Black History month is an annual celebration to promote the contributions of people with African and Caribbean heritage to British society, along with a wider understanding of Black History.
