Development will go ahead at the Jolly Boatman site near Hampton Court, after calls for a court challenge were shut down.

The High Court rejected requests from Elmbridge Council for a Statutory Planning Review.

The authority says “we know that many residents in the areas around the site echo our disappointment”.

The development plan is for 97 homes, a hotel, and shops.
