The M4 was brought to a standstill this morning after police were called to a stretch of motorway between slough and Heathrow Airport.

Traffic was held in both directions while a heavy police presence dealt with an incident concerning a fear for welfare. 

The closure was put in police but a spokesperson for the force said ‘it has now been resolved safely’
