MP, Siobhain McDonagh, asked for assistance from the government and clarity on who should be picking up the bill during an emergency.
The
body of four-year-old Sahara Salman was recovered from the ruins of a house after
the explosion on the 8th of August.
McDonagh shared that Sahara’s mother and siblings are still homeless and sleeping on the floor- 10 weeks after the tragedy.
The
council may be eligible for a government scheme which would offer financial
support to those affected.
