Vehicles most targeted in this type of theft are Lexus, Toyota, Honda and BMW 1 and 3 Series.
Police are holding a free marking event in Old Deer Car Park between 10am and 1pm on Saturday.
They say it’s in response to thefts that have been occurring across the borough.
