154 South Western Railway stations through Surrey and beyond will have publicly accessible defibrillators by the end of the summer

The train operator is investing £1.5million in the project as part of its commitment to safety and serving local communities.    

The announcement coincided with the naming of a train after the Alex Wardle Foundation, a charity set up in memory of Alex Wardle. 

He was the son of an SWR operations trainer, who suddenly passed away from a cardiac arrest in 2016.
