The project, to upgrade one of the busiest junctions in the country, starts tomorrow, with the aim to create better journeys.
Upgrades include a new and safer route for cyclists, pedestrians and horse riders, and a larger roundabout with extra lanes.
The plans also include an additional lane on the A3 from Ockham to Painshill and improvements to the local environment and wildlife.
