Fulham striker Aleksandar Mitrovic is facing a lengthy ban - with the Football Association announcing the standard punishment for his dismissal against Manchester United would be "clearly insufficient"

The Serbian was sent off after trying to grab referee Chris Kavanagh's arm during their FA Cup quarter-final defeat at Old Trafford.

The club have also been charged with failing to ensure their players "conducted themselves in an orderly fashion".

The chief executive of charity Ref Support, Martin Cassidy, admits strong action is needed.
