Trialled by Croydon Council, Selsdon Library has been fitted with Open+ computer technology to provide longer opening times.
The system allows registered members to access the building using their library card and PIN code when the service is not being staffed.
This will allow more opportunities to borrow books and use computers for those who can’t make it during normal opening hours.
