The Telegraph writes that Merton Council is expected to withhold planning consent for the Wimbledon site until late summer.
It wants to build 38 new grass courts, including an 8,000 seat stadium, on the former golf course.
A spokesperson for the club says they’re continuing to following the planning process and work positively with Merton and Wandsworth Councils.
