Croydon library is to create a “digital discovery zone” for all ages with £150,000 worth of government funding

The council was among five authorities in London which successfully bid for the financial grant.

The library receives 25,000 visits a month and is the only provider of free public WiFi and IT access in the town centre.

The council is planning a redesign of the library space with a focus on digital inclusion for the borough’s most vulnerable residents.
