Healthwatch Richmond is working with NHS England to try and establish the extent of the current crisis in NHS dentistry

There is currently a backlog of 93.5 million “units” of dental activity which is equivalent to a year and a half of appointments. 

One of the challenges is for members of the public to be able to find an NHS dentist which is taking on new patients. 

Mike Derry, Chief Officer of Healthwatch Richmond, says this should now be easier.
