Merton Council has given the go ahead for a 9 storey tower block above Wimbledon Chase Station.

Residents against the plans had argued the development would significantly reduce light in nearby homes.

They also claimed it was too large and dense a development for the area. 

The build will include 12 affordable flats out of approximately 80.
