Merton is on track to have the most electric vehicle charging points of any outer London borough.

The council is using just over £1m worth of government and private sector funding to install them.

There’ll be 789 in the borough when work finishes in the next four to six weeks.

It gives 78,000 homes at least one charge point within a two minute walk of their front door.
