Police in Chertsey are urging residents to ensure their vehicles are secure after a spate of attempted van thefts in the area.

Officers are looking into sightings of a black Nissan during one attempted theft in the town centre.

They’re reminding residents to keep vehicle windows closed, use appropriate locks and register valuable tools.

Anyone who witnesses suspicious activity in the area is urged to contact police.
