The environment secretary claims there will be "nowhere to hide" for those who continue to pollute our rivers and seas

Speaking from the London Wetland Centre in Barnes, Therese Coffey's confirmed a ban on wet wipes in England.

She says it will be introduced within the year to help tackle water pollution.

Wet wipes are blamed for more than 90% of blockages in sewers.

But opposition parties argue the Tories made the same promise to ban wipes back in 2018.
