The National Physical Laboratory has published new research into the Metropolitan Police’s use of Live Facial Recognition Technology.

The Teddington laboratory tested the accuracy of the technology used by the Met in operational conditions using different demographics.

LFR enables a more focussed approach to tackle crime, including robbery and violence against women and girls.

The Met is hoping to enable intelligence led efforts where they are likely to have the greatest effect.
