Chelsea MP Greg Hands and Westminster MP Nickie Allen say that it would safeguard the route’s future, as it faces having its route shortened.
It connects Fulham and Liverpool Street and passes through Westminster.
TfL says the number of routes being shortened or cut is due to a government funding deal and “changing demand”.
It would put the bus route in the same category
as Kew Gardens, The Grand Canyon, and the Old City of Jerusalem.
