Carshalton MP Elliot Colburn has raised the issue in Parliament citing problems at the New Mill Quarter housing estate in Hackbridge.
He claims residents there experience blackouts, don’t benefit from the energy price cap, and are unable to change suppliers for a better deal.
He says the problem of council controlled heat networks should have been sorted before the new build estate was developed in 2019.
