Water UK, the trade body for our water companies, has apologised for more the 800 sewage spills a day last year.

But it’s warned modernisation will mean 'moderate' bill increases for customers for years to come.

Lib Dem leader, Ed Davey, visited the River Mole earlier this year to take pollution readings. 

He says the Government needs to take charge of the situation.
