People in New Malden are calling on Kingston Council to take urgent action and clean up The Cut
Some residents we have spoken to claim the walk-through has become a haven for rubbish dumping and graffiti.
They say the area was "gloriously clean" during lock-down, but it is now littered with food packaging,
used masks and beer cans and is so overgrown that social distancing is impossible in places and the bins are overflowing.
One person we spoke to whose house backs on to the route, Tina Malloy, says the area has become synonymous with anti-social behavior at night and reports to the council about offensive graffiti on the brand new cycle route have gone un-answered.
She says it's a "massive environmental health issue."
The high street was also targeted with offensive slogans last month, many of which we cannot publish due to the language used.
Residents living in Poplar Grove are also voicing their concerns about a tree stump which they say is so dangerous, walkers are tripping over it.
They claim they have contacted the council many times, to no avail.
We have also contacted Kingston for comment.
