People in the UK are now banned from social gatherings of more than six, after a rise in coronavirus cases
The rules only apply for those seeing each other indoors in Wales and Northern Ireland but for the other two nations it includes meetings outside as well. Scotland and Wales aren't counting young children in the total, but England is. The Met Police says they will continue the "four Es" approach, by seeking to engage, explain and encourage people to act responsibly, with enforcement as a last resort. DAC Matt Twist says they will be "deploying resources across the capital to engage with groups of more than six to highlight the risks and regulations".
