A 26-year-old man has been sentenced to life in prison, after killing a man he met on a social networking app.

The investigation was launched in June 2019, when Adrian Murphy was found dead at an address in Battersea where he had been staying.

It was found that 26-year-old Joel Osei had poisoned him and stolen from him and attempted to make an $80,000 dollar transaction in his name.

During Osei’s trial, he was seen to be passing notes to his girlfriend, at which point he pleaded guilty.

19-year-old Diana Cristea will be sentenced for murder at a later date.
