Five councils in London are going to the High Court over the Low Traffic Neighbourhood Scheme
That includes Hounslow, and Croydon, which has recently stopped all non-essential spending to avoid bankruptcy. Campaigners are criticising it on the lack of consultation, failing to consider the impact on traffic, and air pollution. TfL says that they’re appealing a separate High Court ruling over taxicabs and LTNs, which said it should be abolished. The operator says they’re “enabling safer essential journeys”.
