Schools in London are remaining shut this morning, as most of the rest of the country prepares to return
Parents are being urged to send their primary-age children back to the schools which are reopening. The Prime Minister said there was "no doubt" classrooms were safe, and education has to be a "priority". Kingston was one of the councils protesting the move to reopen, and says it’s caused a “great deal of worry” for those involved. Surrey County Council says their Primary schools will be reopening, but they will monitor the situation closely and provide support to their schools if the local position changes.
