A large fire has broken out at a garden centre in Shepperton
The blaze has been reported on social media by Surrey Fire and Rescue Service (SFRS) who are currently battling the flames at the scene on Nutty Lane in Shepperton after they were called just after midday. Large plumes of black and grey smoke could be seen billowing from a building on the industrial estate in the area that one onlooker said was the Long Acres garden centre. There are 12 fire and rescue vehicles in attendance as well as Surrey Search and Rescue Drone Team. They’ve added a warning to residents in the area to close their windows to ward against the risk of smoke inhalation. "There is a lot of smoke, so please can those nearby avoid the area and close windows/doors.”
