The Prime Minister allegedly said he would “rather see bodies “pile high in their thousands” than order a third lockdown
The Mail claims he made the comments in October, after announcing the November lockdown. Downing Street denies the comments, with Defence Secretary Ben Wallace saying it’s “just another lie”. Brentford MP Ruth Cadbury says “have you lost a loved one to Covid? This is how much the UK Prime Minister cares about them, and you”. Meanwhile, Kingston MP and Lib Dem leader Ed Davey says “if true, this is the most callous statement a PM has made in my lifetime”.
