The Kensington MP Felicity Buchan has been criticised for a recent visit to the sight of the Grenfell Tower Fire.

 The Kensington MP Felicity Buchan has been criticised for a recent visit to the sight of the Grenfell Tower Fire. 

Matt Wrack, leader of the Norbiton based Fire Brigades Union accused the Tory MP of hunting for photo opportunities when he said she should focus on holding the government to account. 

Ms Buchan has said she believed she was right last year to vote against a Labour amendment to the Fire Safety Bill.

The amendment called for some measures to be implemented straight away, but the MP said she thought the effect would have been to delay the overall inquiry into the fire, which claimed the lives of 72 people.
