The victim was walking from Ashley Road towards The Parade at around 2.50am this morning when a man called out to her.
He crossed the road and stood in front of her, blocking her way, then sexually assaulted her before running off towards Ashley Road.
The man is described as Indian, in his early to mid 20s, around 6ft 1 tall, of a slim build, and wearing a light-coloured shirt.
