Experts are warning British summer temperatures could regularly exceed 40 degrees - even if we manage to meet our climate targets

The Met Office says the UK's already seeing increasingly extreme weather - with 2020 among the top three warmest, sunniest AND wettest years on record.

Meanwhile more than £860m is being invested in flood protection schemes across the UK over the next year.

In Surrey, £60m is being spent to protect areas from the River Thames.
