The former head of a “dodgy” lettings agency in Weybridge has been sentenced to unpaid community work.

63-year-old was the head of Xenex Developments, which went bust owing nearly £7m and was found to have accounting issues.

He was then banned from being a company director, but it’s been found he was a member of a LLP media company which is also being investigated by HMRC.

The magistrate said the breach wasn’t “malicious” but ordered him to pay court costs and a surcharge of over £2,500.
