Two children and three adults had to be rescued in Worcester Park yesterday, after their car became stuck in a metre of water

The Fire Brigade says they took over 1,000 calls across London until the early hours of this morning, with ceilings collapsing and basement floods.

We’re being warned there’s an increased risk of carbon monoxide poisoning due to the generators used to dry out buildings.

If there’s a risk of flooding, we’re being told to prepare a grab bag, use sandbags to limit water flow, and move belongings to a higher level if possible.
