An 81 year old is in a life threatening condition in hospital after being hit by a car in Carshalton

The woman was found seriously injured at the junction of High Street and North Street just before 10am.

According to the Met Police, the driver of the car stopped and was arrested on suspicion of driving over the prescribed alcohol limit.
