Members of the Rail, Maritime and Transport union were planning to stage a series of 24-hour walkouts - starting from today.
It was over plans to scrap the pay grade of night Tube drivers - but now talks are being held to resolve the dispute.
Planned strikes for later this month are still due to go ahead.
