Over a thousand people have signed a petition calling for cuts to rail services between Dorking, Epsom and Waterloo to be restored.

South Western Railways is consulting on whether or not to make permanent cuts made during the pandemic, which saw peak-time services halved, and off-peak trains reduced to one an hour.

The operator says it’s trying to reduce congestion in the Wimbledon area.

Rish-hour services via Leatherhead between London Waterloo and Guildford were also reduced by half.
