South Western Railway is coming in for more criticism following its proposal to reduce key services across its network
Richmond Council is the latest to voice its concerns alongside Epsom MPs Chris Grayling and Munira Wilson. The plans would see a 50% reduction in direct trains on some routes. They would also remove key commuter services from stations including Whitton, Hampton and Teddington. There would be no morning peak services in Whitton between 7:50 and 8:20am either. SWR has launched a public consultation on its website; if the plans go ahead, they would be implemented from December next year.
