Surrey is seeing a rise in computer software service fraud.

There have been 76 reports made to Surrey Police since the start of the year.

Many of the victims have been women over the age of 75, with 34 people losing an average of £4,460.

Callers pretend to be from reputable companies such as BT, who seek access to victims’ computers where they then steal personal details.
