The importance of clinical trials is being highlighted after a drug used for treating Ovarian cancer yielded strong results.

Olaparib is a tablet form medicine which triggers cancer cell death in sufferers’ bodies after surgery and  chemotherapy.

Dr Susana Banerjee is a Consultant Medical Oncologist at the Sutton based Royal Marsden.

She explains how the international trial affected the 400 women who took part in it.
