Three women are to battle storms, 25-foot waves, salt sores and a lack of home comforts this December.

Charlotte Irving, Abby Johnson and Kat Cordiner are aiming to race 3,000 miles across the Atlantic Ocean for charity.

They were part of the rowing team at Lady Eleanor Holles school in Hampton.
